William Hammond was one of the first pretzel bakers in Lancaster. He
passed on the pretzel bakers traditions to his children who did the same.
His grandson opened the Hammond Pretzel Bakery in the 1930's.
The Hammond Pretzel bakery has been a family owned and run business
since it's origins. As you can see, the family's name has changed by
marriage but the Hammond family commitment to quality always comes first.
You can be assured since the family takes a very hands-on approach to the
quality of their product.
Today, two generations run the family business and the family tradition
is a very serious matter because only the finest pretzels get to be sold
under the Hammond's name.
